You are not allowed to share or forward this lesson to anyone and you may not place it on any website without my permission. This has been copyrighted so please do not use illegally. MCN: C6N36-7P8JU-SVJ4W Lesson 2 Learning to take proper screenshots Do not share these lessons outside of the group this includes but is not limited to: a blog, website, email or any other form electronic or printed. Before we begin This Lesson was written by ©RieMRuby&DiamondDezigns This Lesson belongs to RubyNDiamondDezigns You are under no circumstances allowed to post this on a web site or share the lesson outside of this group. By doing this you are in direct violation of our copyright and if found will be prosecuted. DO NOT TRY IT! Beginner Lesson 2: This will teach you how to take proper screenshots! Here you will be introduced to Snagit! I have found one that actually works well. Screenshots can really enhance your tut! I am sure you have seen screenshots that were all distorted looking to the point you could not read them properly. Ok please go here and download the program. http://www.4shared.com/file/HZo5TfSx/for_screenshots_SNAG_IT.html (This link came from Rie) DO NOT share it outside the group! After downloading then unzip it you should see a setup file with a key generator. Open the key generator copy the serial number have in it. Now double click the setup so you can install the program. You will click next each time you will not change anything on the setup. When the setup is finished a new screen will open up for you. On the right you find the word unlock now click on it. If you cannot find it then look for it under Tools. Place your name and serial # that you copied earlier from the key generator. On the next screen uncheck copy my software key to the online form now close. On the next screen make sure you select NO. You should see a screen asking you to take a tour you can close that. You should have the Snagit program open on your desktop if you don’t then open it now. At the top find TOOLS and click the...Program preferences. Then select program options select: use tray icon. ( Please don't change anything else ) At the tab....Updater options......unselect: enable automated update checking. ( Note ~ DO NOT UPDATE EVER OR IT WON’T WORK ANYMORE) Close all screens now. Now it is time to play. Open psp and have an image open in it. You are going to take a screenshot of it. This is how you do it. (ctrl+shift+ P) then hold down your left mouse and drag it to select what you want a shot of. When you are finished let go of the mouse button and another screen will open with what you just captured. On the left you see the TOOLS. These are options for you to use on your screenshots. So if you wanted to added text like I did on my screenshots above click the A. Now that you are finished click save-as. Name it and change to JPEG. See that was not hard. I am in hopes that you learn to love this program as much as I do. Huggs, Rie N Chloe The requirement to pass this lesson: For this lesson play with your new program. Beginner Lesson 1: There are a few things to keep in mind as you prepare for each lesson as well as your tut writing process: 1) Not all writers have the same style that’s what makes each so unique! What works for me may not for you. 2) Make sure you have everything you need: a pen, paper, comfy place to work and maybe a drink or snack (can’t think if tummy growling huh!). 3) SAVE SAVE SAVE…we never know when we may lose power! 4) Make sure you right down all of your steps as you go along such as sizes, colors, plugins or effects and their settings, names of tubes or sources. Make these for you, they are the rough draft, but here is NOTHING worse than getting finished and realizing you have NO clue what you did! 5) Breathe this is supposed to be fun! If you don’t enjoy it no one else will either . Now with that in mind let’s get to your 1st lesson… Good Luck! We are going to create our disclaimer everyone’s is different some are centered, some are aligned right, that all depends on your preference and were you will be posting your tutorials. Below you will find several different variations to review before you begin. Assignment Requirement: For your Assignment you will create your own wording for your personal header and disclaimer! When you are finished please send to your Mod per your welcome letter…Remember to add your name and the lesson you are sending in: Rie - Beginner Lesson #1. Rie & Leon

I have not posted on here as of yet. So I figured it was time to do just that. As some know I am currently in the process of leaving the person I spent 11 yrs with because we have grown apart. In the process I met the love of my life in July last year. I will be moving to Texas with him Feb 1st. I have never felt this way about anyone in my entire life. Everyday I fall in love with him even more. My hopes is that we have a wonderful life full of happy memories. He is in the medical field and we are going to try to have a baby together. I have 5 cats and he has 1 dog Winston a pug. My 2 youngest cats are not fixed and my female Lady is going into heat so Cal is working on getting him some booty. I foresee a litter in the future.... Anyway back to me and Leon he has already asked me to be his wife so our wedding will be soon I will keep you posted on that as well. I will have to keep up on everything now. Talk soon!!!! Rie
